Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of goods.  A marketing strategy is composed of several interrelated components called the marketing mix.  The Marketing mix consists of data to a series of product and customer related matters.

  • The segments of customers
  • Products  to  be designed for the selected customers
  • Product features uniquely targeting this market
  • Packaging of l the products

Pricing is a quantitative expression of the value of the product to the customer.

Pricing should be designed like a feature consistent with the use of the product.

  • Price of the product
  • Payment method                    
  • Channel –  direct, wholesale or retail channels best moves and delivers the product and its benefits to the selected market.
  • The message that states the purpose and benefits of the product in the market and how it competes
  • Direct,   indirect or through others
  • Product, showing customers  how it can be useful, and persuading them to buy

The actual selling process breaks down into two components called the decision making unit (DMU) and the decision making process (DMP). The DMU) consists of all of the people who will play a role in the decision to purchase a product. The marketing mix program must understand the needs of each of these individuals and find a way to communicate the marketing message to each of them.  These people are typically identified as:

Buyer – the person who actually pays.

Decider – the person or group that actually says this is the product we want.

Influencer – who helps the decider decide – example the press. 

The people included in the decision making unit (DMU) interact to make the purchasing decision. The (DMP) is a description of this interaction.  By understanding this process a salesperson can best understand who, how, and when to work on getting the customer order.

My current role, Growth and Learning

I have  to develop some new skills  and  grow in  with  experience in  my  current job. I have to  consider what seems to be missing from  my  current job, or  may  new things I have to learn and I ave to find ways and means to add those things to my current  job to carry out my roels. The best way to start is to think about the needs of   my  department and supervisor. If  I  know what my  departmental requirements   and these are areas in which I want to develop,  I  may have a win-win situation.  My  needs and  my  departmental  needs may be met at the same time. In this case, it is more likely that my  department may support training and development that I  may need. However, sometimes my  area of interest may not be of interest to the department. If that is the case, I have to find  for  other ways to develop. I  can figure this out by talking to  my  supervisor.  I am  prepared to talk about what works in my  current  career and what new things  I  would like to learn

Competitiveness in Business

Businesses exist in a competitive environment at present.  Companies  are in fierce competition with each other to provide the best possible value for money   and to offer the most suitable range of products or services  for their customers. Businesses compete in different ways. One of the most clear ways is over price. Companies  on the Internet compete to supply the same goods at the cheapest price to customers. However, in addition there are many  other   competitions, e.g. location – being at the most convenient location for customers, customer service – giving the best personal attention to the needs of customers, customization of products – providing additional features to products to cater for particular customer groups. Organizations  are faced by direct competitors. These are firms that produce the same or very similar goods  or services. On the other hand, most products are differentiated in some way. In addition to direct competition, businesses also face indirect competition. For example, in the leisure industry cinemas are faced by indirect competition from other providers of leisure activities such as discotheques. A direct competitor is a business that produces or sells a product or service that is identical or highly similar to another. Indirect competition occurs when organizations   compete for the same  expenditure, although they might be in different sectors of the same market, or in apparently different markets. As such it is apparent that we are living in a hyper competitive business environment where things are changing rapidly. In this business environment being competitive is vital for  survival and growth for an origination and individuals working for those organizations.

Personal Development Planning

Personal Development Planning (PDP) is a continuous development process that enable  me  to make the best use of  my  skills and helps advance both the  personal  plans and professional plans. . The process of Personal Development  Plan is continuous by its  innate  nature. It benefits  me as wellas the  the organisation which I work for . It also benefits  my supervisors and  colleagues/peers and other staff with whom I work.

I suppose  It is a four-step process comprising: preparation; personal evaluation including the completion of a PDP.  PDP ensures that employees receive recognition for their work through a process which acknowledges their achievements and provides them with as much information as possible about what they do and what is required in order to do better.

Personal Development Plan  allow  me  to identify in terms of personal development where I  have come from, how I am  getting on in  my  job at present, where I  would like to be in the future and how I  propose to get there. The questions to be completed are framed as follows:

Abstract

This study investigates cyber crimes, and its impact on teenagers which has become a significant phenomenon within the last two decades. People become victims   of fraud, defamation or harassment online everyday in all four corners of the world. This research focuses its attention specifically on the impact on teenagers who are active Internet users.   A   cross sectional interviews were   conducted with  School  teachers, students and parents  in order to  collect  data. The  analysis of data and information  whether the  teenagers  are more likely to be exposed to cyber crimes than older age groups and  delves into what kinds of risk factors are associated with the exposure to cyber  crime among teenagers. In fact, an exclusive research was  conducted to find out relevant materials for the  project  from relevant books, newspaper articles, magazines, journals  and  websites for  identifying issues, data processing and analysis. It also collected data of   relevant cases occurred in United Kingdom, India and Sri Lanka in the recent past.  The results show that teenagers are more likely to be victims of cyber crimes even when other factors were adjusted for. These findings highlight the significance of understanding both psychological risk factors, patterns of risky online behavior and draw the attention of law makers to impose strict regulations  to fight against cyber crimes specifically against  teenagers. To put into its context the objective of the report is based on the findings in this research analytically discuss the  solutions for the contemporary issues.
