Nanuoya is a town of Nuwara Eliya district and 6km from Nuwara Eliya town. 2nd main entrance to Nuwara Eliya town is  via Nanuoya. The railway station which is closer to Nuwara Eliya town is at Nanuoya. There fore,  visitors who come to Nuwara Eliya via train is come to  Nanuoya. A lot of tea estates are surrounded at Nanuoya area. Several waterfalls like Nanuoya falls, Devon falls and some other falls are near Nanuoya.
