Community consultation process is one of the major challenges in the current   planning system and in particular for the mobile phone tower deployment. Many people are concerned about the health risks posed by   telecommunication towers and have linked them to cancer, depression, infertility, immune disorders, headaches and nausea. To date there has been no comprehensive study which proved the validity of these   claims but people have make-believe fears about these towers. Therefore precautionary principle should apply. In the event  a phone towers are built  too close to schools, children are exposed to  radiation for   6 hours  in five  school days a week. This situation is a serious cause for concern by telecommunication companies which have a proposal to built such a tower.
