Why employees are leaving Companies?

There is multitude of reasons for employees to leave an organization.  There are personal reasons which are beyond the control of the employer but the other reasons employer must understand properly and take effective actions to address them.

Sweeping changes are made in companies under change management. This is a reason for frustration among employees. Employees are used to certain way of life and when it is changed it is very difficult for them to adapt to the new procedures.

Chang is vital   not only for growth of the organization but also for mere survival.  Culture of the company is very strong and   in the event   this culture is altered that will lead to employee frustration. Therefore,  the change management  must be effected  in very  methodical  manner and  employees must  be  informed in advance  this type of changes  and  emphasized them that  change  is going to benefit them.

Naturally people want to go up in the ladder of success and progress in their career.  In the event opportunities are not available in the place where one is employed, it is likely for them to look outside for opportunities.  If an employee can leave with the blessings of the current employer then it is good for the reputation of the   company too.

Employer should see from the employee’s point of view to realize some common reasons for employees to leave. Employers must understand why and foster a culture where employees feel safe and also employer should discuss with the employees.

Some companies are disturbed when people are leaving.  New employees bring   freshness and new ideas to the existing workforce. In one hand leaving of employees is beneficial factor otherwise   stagnant work force is existed in the company and there is no room for new people and fresh ideas to come in.

It is necessary to realize why people are leaving in order to keep a balance in leavers and new employees.  Sudden leaving employees   create a gap to fill that  the employer was not expecting.

Well organized companies have succession plans in place. However,   advance planning does not completely remove the disruption caused by unexpected departure of an employee.  A Company should prepare in advance an action plan to face in such a scenario.

It is necessary to realize why employees leave  and  address the root cause  and the other hand company should  discuss the reasons for leaving with the employees. This feedback will help to prepare the action plan.  As a reputed employer it should not obstruct the employees who want to leave for their benefit.

With the reputation of the company together with proper planning, it  will not be a problem to recruit  new people and also to keep the existing workforce satisfied  and contended.
