Tissamaharama
Tissamaharama is a town situated in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Thissamaharama was the capital of Ruhunu Kingdom of Sinhalese during the 3rd century A.D. Several constructions during that era can still be seen and Tissa Lake, Debarawewa, Weerawila Lake, Yoda Lake Pangamuwa lake are enhancing the picturesque scenic beauty of this tourist destination.
During the era of Sinhalese kings when building a village, prior to that a lake was built. Temple visit
Thissamaharama town has become a sacred city as a result of the arrival of Lord Buddha. From Temples, Shrines, dagabas which were built by the ancient kings largest one is the Tissamaharama Dagaba. It is believed that frontal relic of the Lord Buddha is placed in Tissamaharama Dagaba and according to the history King Kawanthissa had built this dagaba in 218 A.D.
As per the concept during the Kings era , when a lake is built removal of the earth is taken and built the Dagaba and it is considered a holy place. At the top of the dagaba Crest Gem is absorbing beneficial rays of the universe and giving the village universal energy which will revitalize the frame of mind and physical health of the villagers. These beneficial rays have given them health and long life and this process was made use during the ancient era. Buddhism which was protected by the Buddhist monks from the time of the Lord Buddha is prevailing even today. Village visit

Yala
Yala is the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka. Bundala

Katharagama
Kataragama is a city of centuries of history before A. D and this area has become sacred due to the presence of God Kataragama or God Karthikeya. From ancient time up to now large crowds of devotees are flocking to this sacred city to have rituals and religious observances.
There are few incidents which God Kataragama is connected in the history of Sri Lanka and according to the ancient belief of Hindus “God Kataragama” has been introduced as the God in command of war. In addition “Kiri Vehera” which was a huge dagaba built in the first century A.D. also can be seen in the sacred land of Kataragama.
Kirinda
According to the chronological story during the the first century A.D. there had been a tsunami and in order to protect the country from the tsunami a child of the ruler at that time had to be sacrificed to the sea as per the soothsayers. In accordance with that only beautiful daughter of the King at that time had to be sacrificed to the sea and as a result the King became desperate. The Princess who was in her youthful age realized the agony of her father and volunteered before the king and pleaded from the father king bravely to sacrifice herself to the sea in order to protect the country. Wind jammer which was decorated by the King and the Princess was put into the dreaded sea.
Wind Jammer after floating in the sea for several days reached the costal belt of Kirinda. A prince who ruled the southern part of the country at that time was pleased with the bravery of the princess and married the princess and in the memory of this bravery a huge dagaba was built. In proof of this historical incident still this Dagaba can be seen in Kirinda coastal belt.
